Matthew J. Heck Matthew Jon Heck died on April 22, 乐乐棋牌 at 10:51 PM at Emory Saint-Joseph's Hospital. He was 58 years old. Born in Dayton, OH on April 9th, 1962, Matt and his family soon settled in Indianapolis, where he attended Lawrence High School, and then Ball State University. In 1986, Matt moved to St. Petersburg FL, and spent many years working at the St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times), where he was consistently promoted to several key roles including as 乐乐棋牌 Delivery Zone Manager, Single Copy Manager, and finally Circulation Director. He married Sonja Johnson in 1994, who also worked at the St. Petersburg Times. In 1998 they moved to the Atlanta area and he soon found work at the Marietta Daily Journal, first as Single Copy Manager, and then as Circulation Director, until 2013. In 2014, he joined Spot-On Consulting as co-owner with Sonja. Matt was an excellent golfer, and really enjoyed hitting the links with so many of his friends. He also loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and one of the great joys of his life was going to St. Petersburg to see his beloved team play, and win, the Super Bowl! Matt also traveled to several countries including Spain, Denmark, The Netherlands, Canada, and many areas in the Caribbean. Matt will be remembered for his extreme kindness, hilarious wit, pretty decent singing ability, and most importantly, his sincere caring and support to anyone who needed help, including four-legged souls. He was an avid volunteer for MUST Ministries for several years, and could always be counted on to lend a hand to someone who needed lifting up. Besides sports, he adored his family and friends, and they meant everything to him, including his crazy dogs Lily and Spot, and best friend Sonja. He is survived by Sonja Heck, his wife of 25 years, his adored mother Carol Heck, sister Maria Heck, and brothers Mark Heck and Mike Heck, all in Indiana, and is preceded by death by his father Richard Heck. Matt had many nephews and nieces including Anna and Tyler Heck, residing in Indiana, Katie Roe and Ashli Keller, both in Atlanta, and nephew Michael Heck, who resides in Washington. Of recent great pride and joy were Katie's kids, Moxie and Rhys, and he couldn't wait to watch them grow up. Matt will be sorely missed, but we have some solace now that he can play golf and fish with his dad.
